Let’s Talk About It

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD): It’s not a quirk or the desire for things to be neat and orderly. It’s real and paralyzing fear. It’s not the punchline to your joke or a nonchalant descriptor to tease your friends. It’s not an excuse. It is an illness, harder to see but just as real as diabetes or cancer.

My Piece of Happiness for Today

I woke up next to the person I love, with a cat attacking my foot, and I felt happy. Even though I’m stressed, anxious, and often sad, this morning I felt happy. And that’s a lot.
